John has held positions of leadership in information technology in the Southeast for over a decade. He has deep experience in the management of technical teams and specializes in software development and systems administration. He is an open source expert, and is recognized for his ability to bridge the communication gap between business leadership and technical staff. At TIMCO, he leads a cross-functional team of developers, business analysts, system administrators and operations technicians and is particularly focused on leveraging open technologies to gain competitive advantage.  Prior to TIMCO, he served in various technical and leadership roles at Alltel, JDSU, and SecureWorks.  In 2012, John was recognized by the UNCG Bryan School of Business as one of the region's "40 Leaders Under 40". John holds an M.B.A. from Ole Miss and a B.A. in Communications from Morehead State University. He is a Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner and VMWare Certified Professional.
